AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM

A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection system to NFPA13, consisting of distribution piping network with wet alarm control valves, water motor alarm gongs onto which fire sprinklers are connected

DELUGE WATER SPRAY / PRE-ACTION SYSTEM

A deluge fire sprinkler system uses unpressurized dry piping and open sprinkler heads. It is typically connected to a water supply. Upon detection of flames, heat or smoke, a valve is triggered, which allows all the open sprinkler heads to let out a “deluge” of water at once. Pre-action sprinkler systems, on the other hand, are used to protect areas where water damage from damaged sprinklers or piping needs to be avoided filled with compressed air

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

A fire extinguisher is a hand held device used to extinguish or control small fires often in emergencies. It is not intended for use on an out-of-control fire, such as one which has reached the ceiling, endangers the user, or otherwise requires the expertise of a fire brigade

HOSE REEL / DRY/WET RISER SYSTEM

Fire hose reel systems consist of pumps, pipes, water supply and hose reels located strategically in a building, ensuring proper coverage of water to combat a fire. The system is manually operated and activated by opening a valve enabling the water to flow into the hose that is typically 30 meters.

Dry riser consists of a system of valves and pipe work which enables the fire service to pump water onto upper floors of a building. Wet riser consists of a system of valves and pipe work which is kept permanently charged with water, generally utilising pumps and tanks.

FIRE HYDRANTS

A fire hydrant is a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water supply. It is a component of active fire protection. Underground fire hydrants have been used in Europe and Asia since at least the 18th century. Above ground pillar-type hydrants are a 19th-century invention.

WATER MIST SYSTEM

A water mist fire suppression system is an advanced special hazard solution that uses small water droplets to control, suppress, or extinguish fires. The system works by discharging high-pressure water through specialized nozzles that atomize the water and create a fine mist using high pressure pumps
